We ended up with some 140 species, of which about 120 or so were life birds. Some of the birds were of course seen in the US or Africa. We had a least one mega rare bird, Isabelline Wheatear, and several other really special birds, like the Ural Owls in the Zemplen Mountains. I do believe Zsombor was able to find about every bird that was possible in the areas where we visited, given the season. We met up with another couple, the husband was a big lister and chaser, and he seemed pleased with Hungarian Bird Watching. I think they are clearly the right choice for the country. I understand they also go into Rumania, and possibly Transylvania.
