Join Chef Susana Trilling for her Dia de los Muertos week long course which takes place during this wonderful traditional holiday that is literally a feast for the eyes as well as a the stomach!
This course includes 4 hands on cooking classes at Seasons of My Heart Cooking School, including one day where we make Mole Negro and create our own Muertos altar.
We go to nearby villages to have demonstrations of traditional chocolate, cheese, and bread making, as well as other cottage industries here in the central valleys of Oaxaca. We will go to a small village home to participate in the making of the holiday feast and take part in the town´s fiesta.
We will also have the chance to visit several breathtaking cemeteries, decorated to the hilt with fresh marigolds, coxcomb, and sand paintings to welcome the souls coming back to visit their families during Muertos.
