Breakfast is included and features standard comfort food in addition to some local specialties. The lunch and dinner menus offer some wondeful seafood, taking advantage of the proximity to the coast as well as the many vegetables and fruits that are local. The menu is varied and creative, including coffee and chocolate marinated beef, coconut sprimp, chipotle pork chops, many seafood dishes and several vegetarian options.
Some people like to take a hop into La Ceiba to dine as the Hondurans do, but few would eat better than at Pico Bonito.

Activities:   This is a birder's paradise!  Over 420 species have been documented within 20 minutes of the Lodge at Pico Bonito.  Ferruginous Pigmy Owl, Lovely Cotinga, Emerald Hummingbird, and recently the Elegant Euphonia, a first time sighting for Honduras’ North Coast.  And don't take our word for it, Audubon magazine agrees!
Hiking is fabulous at the lodge, with self-guided trails that lead from the lodge to the perimeter of Pico Bonito National Park. There are three observation towers for spectacular views of the park and wildlife, and walks can go from 10 minutes to 3 hours, anytime during the day, but sunrise hikes are the best. However, they offer a Nocturnal Hike, which teaches you about animals that hide by day and roam by night.
The Cuero y Salado coastal Manatee and Wildlife Refuge, where the Cuero and Salado Rivers meet the ocean, contains over 13 square kilometers of tropical wet and mangrove forests. Monkeys, sloths, caimans, crocodiles, iguanas, and turtles are common sights together with over 350 species of birds.
Whitewater Rafting on the 20-mile Rio Cangrejal or snorkeling at Cayos Cochinos are other activities that can be arranged from Pico Bonito
